Our MissionTo build German community along the west coast of Canada & the US one German-speaker at a time. We will help find each other, interact with each other and learn from one another. Company ProfileThere are 3 ways to get involved: subscribe to us, take part by getting interviewed or writing a letter to the editor or by advertising/announcing in our monthly newsletter. We love hearing from our readers and love getting unique, personalized content from our readers. Is there a story you would like to tell about your childhood in Germany? Is there a Swiss recipe that your Oma always made? Is there a particular place you love to visit in Austria? These are the kinds of things that we would love to know. We also belong to the German Chamber of Commerce and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce Reader's Comments: Good job on the newsletter, it was an exceptionally good one this month. Have a lovely day :) Sharon

Elke Porter is the mother of 2 young children. One of them attends a German Playgroup at the St. Mark's Church and the other one attends the Westside German School in Kitsilano. Elke started the newsletter in 2007 as "German VOICES Vancouver" and decided to expand her horizen in 2009 by renaming it: Westcoast German News. At the moment, Elke is trying to find more US subscribers and more US content, while still offering plenty of local Canadian content at the same time. Since it is only sent as a .pdf document and no longer gets printed, the number of pages don't matter. Bring it on! See you online! Willkommen... Contact InformationElke Porter
